'Rent' in Chicago Through Feb. 17

Broadway in Chicago is presenting the national touring production of the Tony Award®- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Rent at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph, in a limited engagement that ends Sun., Feb. 17.

The production features Heinz Winckler, the winner of the first South African Idol in 2002, as Roger Davis and Anwar Robinson, a fourth-season finalist on American Idol, as Tom Collins.

Rent received its world premiere off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop on Feb. 13, 1996 to ecstatic reviews. The show transferred to Broadway on April 29, 1996, where it continues to play at The Nederlander Theatre. Rent is now the seventh longest running show in Broadway history—and will end its run June 1.
